NACSW Skills Challenge

Service Description

NACSW offers an online titling program featuring four specific Scent Work skills. There are three difficulty levels available for each skill. Handlers submit video of their dog's searches for review and can earn a title if their submission is judged to meet the requirements of the Challenge. In this class, we will revisit the original 2022 challenge. It covers these skills: * Independent Hunting * Finding Multiple Hides (with time pressure) * Suspended Hides * Containers (with distractors) You can find a full description of this Challenge at: https://www.nacsw.net/nacsw/sac/2/detail If you enroll in this class, I highly recommend that you read the information on each Skill and practice a bit at home before coming to class if you are unfamiliar with the Skill as described. I will set up the searches for each class session's Challenges and will provide the set-up video to each of you. Class members will video one another during searches. A fellow class member will use your phone or device to record your run. You will be responsible for verifying your video and, once you have recorded successful runs for all four skills (you may combine levels!), for submitting your video to NACSW, if desired. This class is also simply an opportunity to play!
