Intro to AKC Buried Searches

Service Description
4 week session | January 9-30, 2025 | 12:30-1:45 pm | 75 minutes | Suite 520 The AKC Buried Element is intended to simulate the work of real detection dogs and presents some unique challenges! It may look like "just another container search" but odor behaves differently when buried in sand or submerged in water and covered by a grid! We will begin simply with sand and plenty of space, but will gradually work toward a real trial set-up, which is quite compressed, using both sand and water. This class is intended as an *introductory* class and is suitable for all dogs on odor. We will be using birch, clove, and anise only. All classes will be indoors. I will mail a brief survey to all participants and ask the you respond prior to the first class.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or postponement of classes is based upon instructor discretion. Withdrawal of enrollment in courses by client is permitted up to 1 week after first class for pro-rated refund.
